Information for USNCTAM
For
USNCTAM, hotels surrounding the University will be within walking
distance of the event venues. For those interested in bus
transportation, we have provided City of Boulder bus information
below for your convenience.
For
those who prefer to drive, one-week permits ($9.50) will be
available for purchase at our registration desk during the
conference (the registration desk will be located in the University
Memorial Center, or UMC, room 235 on Sunday, June 25th,
and in the Engineering Lobby Monday-Friday). These permits will be
for Lot 436 only (on the corner of Regent Drive and Colorado
Boulevard).
Transportation
will be provided to and from select hotels for the banquet dinners
on Tuesday and Wednesday, June 27-28, 2006. More information
regarding banquet transportation will be provided in your
registration confirmation letter and on-site.

Bus Routes between Hotels and Conference Venues
 The
Regional Transportation District (RTD)
operates an excellent public transportation system in Boulder. Most
conference hotels are located on bus lines that offer convenient
transportation to and from conference sites. Bus fare is $1.50 each
way ($0.75 for seniors 65+ and individuals with disabilities). Exact
change is required. A 10-Ride
Ticketbook
is available for $13.50, and can be purchased online from RTD.
Ticketbooks should be ordered by June 7, 2006 and will be mailed by
June 9, 2006. Bus pick-up locations and times for each hotel are
shown in the tables. For bus pick-up locations, look for the red
sign that says “The Ride”, as shown at the left. Bus
drop-off locations are shown in the second table. The bus drivers
usually announce the stops; if you aren’t sure where to get
off, ask the driver. Some of the directions in the table use compass
directions. In Boulder, the mountains are to the west and they run
north and south. Knowing that, you should be able to easily follow
the directions below.
